As the WordPress developer, I extended the site’s Pindol theme by hand — building dynamic headers, footers and sidebars for portfolio and post pages, and designing a custom blog template — fully responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile.","The site needed more flexible layouts than the Pindol theme offered out of the box: headers, footers and sidebars that change with the page type, and a blog page that matched the brand instead of the theme default. Because the work was hand-coded rather than built with a page builder, every template had to stay clean, maintainable and consistent across browsers and screen sizes.","Extended the Pindol theme with custom PHP templates for dynamic headers, footers and sidebars on portfolio and post pages, and designed and built a new blog page template. Styling was written in SCSS, with jQuery and AJAX handling interactive behavior, and every template was tested on desktop, tablet and mobile across major browsers.",[24,27,30,33,36
Theme Review","Reviewed the Pindol theme’s template hierarchy, hooks and styles to plan where custom templates and overrides would live.
Dynamic Headers & Footers","Built PHP templates so headers and footers adapt to the page being viewed instead of using one fixed layout.
Portfolio & Post Sidebars","Created dynamic sidebars for portfolio and post pages with content relevant to each page type.
Custom Blog Template","Designed and built a new blog page template in PHP, HTML and SCSS, matching the site’s branding.
Responsive & Cross-Browser QA","Tested every template on desktop, tablet and mobile across major browsers before handoff.",[40,44,48
"Custom Templates","Hand-Coded","Headers, footers, sidebars and blog template built in PHP and SCSS — no page builder
"Dynamic Layouts","Per Page Type","Headers, footers and sidebars adapt to portfolio and post pages
"Responsive","All Devices","Tested on desktop, tablet and mobile across major browsers",[53,56,59,62,65,68
Client","Trouve Ton Courtier
Website","https://trouvetoncourtier.net/
Agency","Oolong Media + Pix and Codes
Location","Quebec, Canada
Role","Subcontracted WordPress Developer
Completed","Feb 2020",[72,73,74,75,76,77,78,10,79,80,81,82,83,84],"https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-01.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-02.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-03.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-04.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-05.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-06.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-07.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-09.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-10.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-11.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-12.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-13.png","https://cms.guevfstack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/trouve-ton-courtier-custom-wordpress-theme-development-14.png"]
